Clinical Supervision and Consultation

A Place to Think Carefully About the Work Behind the Work.

Relational supervision creates room to consider the clinical material, the therapeutic relationship, and the clinician’s own responses together. The aim is to support thoughtful formulation, ethical practice, and an increasingly grounded professional identity.

A Relational Frame

The Clinician is Part of the Clinical Encounter.

Supervision pays attention to what unfolds between therapist and patient, including transference, countertransference, enactments, boundaries, and the emotional demands of the work.

Cases are considered within the full context of the patient’s history, identity, culture, relationships, material conditions, and present circumstances.
